INSTRUCTORS

Alysia Klein Alysia Klein (admin@npb.org) is a professional choreographer, dance instructor, and nationally certified yoga instructor. She is in her tenth year of teaching specializing in Modern Dance, Contemporary Jazz, Hip-Hop, Break Dancing, Jungle, Performance, Choreography, Hatha Yoga, and Vinyasa Yoga. Alysia has choreographed and performed with industry leaders such as Puma, Siegfried and Roy, and The Rumjungle in Las Vegas Nevada.


Hollis Mackintosh Hollis Mackintosh (mackintosh@npb.org) began her dance training with Delia Foley, A.R.A.D. at Ballet Arts in Clarks Mills, New York. She went on to attend Butler University, performing lead roles with the Butler Ballet and the Indianapolis Opera before graduating in 2002 with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance with a secondary major in Arts Administration. While at Butler she also had the opportunity to dance with the Chamber Dance Project in New York City under the direction of Diane Coburn-Bruning. After graduation, she joined the Louisville Ballet. She spent two years dancing with the company before becoming a faculty member at the Louisville Ballet School. She went on to join the Cincinnati Ballet as a guest artist and then the Augusta Ballet as a full company member. After her first season with Northern Plains Ballet, Ms. Mackintosh is excited to join the staff of Northern Plains Dance as the for her first season.


Meghann Theurer Meghann Theurer (admin@npb.org) has been dancing with Northern Plains Ballet since it began in 1998 and is now entering her second year as a faculty member at Northern Plains Dance Academy. She has performed major roles in NPB’s productions including the Dew Drop Faerie in The Nutcracker, the Lilac Farie in Sleeping Beauty, and the Faerie Godmother in Cinderella. She also competed in the Youth American Grand Prix in 2003. Ms. Theurer is excited to be back again this year and is currently a Sophomore at the University of Mary.
